Guide for Tier 4 family home   |   Student immigration

Welcome to the UKCISA guide for Tier 4 family

This tool is to help you if you currently have immigration permission as a Tier 4 (General) Student or if you are about to make an application as a Tier 4 (General) Student. It does not apply to you if you have any other type of immigration permission, including student leave you applied for before 31 March 2009, and you are not planning to make a Tier 4 (General) application.

If you have Tier 4 (General) leave or you are going to apply for Tier 4 (General) leave, answer each question in turn to check if your family can join you or remain with you in the UK.

Always read the UK Border Agency policy guidance, the Immigration Rules and our Information Sheets to find full information about all the requirements your dependants must meet, including which family members qualify as Tier 4 dependants, funds requirements and special rules about children. You can find links to all these sources of information in Links to the law and guidance on the left of this page.
